SHORTLISTING CRITERIA

When shorlisting for interview by our clients we take account of

bulletcommercial experience. Usually essential for most positions,
bulletindustry experience. Preferably of the industry where the vacancy exists, or a related service industry,
bulletservice background, eg. armed services or police especially for security positions.  May be useful though less so than in the past. Exemplary conduct is essential
bulleteducation. Varies with type and level of job. A levels desirable, and sometimes, for more senior positions, a degree, professional qualification or MBA.  But candidates who can demonstrate success with few formal qualifications will also be considered.  
bulletplace of residence. All employers prefer applicants who are already living within commuting distance.  Relocation expenses provided usually only for more senior positions.
bulletsalary. Salary progression is a good indicator of performance.  Large gap between current salary and salary of job applied for, suggests a mismatch.
bulletdriving licence. Must be clean.

Note. There is no age discrimination and applicants in their mid fifties with relevant experience will be considered along with younger applicants.
